The Books of J.R.R Tolkien

J.R.R Tolkien has created an epic fantasy trilogy called "The Lord of the Rings" this book was origanally divided into 6 parts( 6 different books) until they were combined, and 3 Main parts evolved; "The Fellowship of the Ring", "The Two Towers" and "The Return of the King" these books became a unique series of one of J.R.R Tolkiens most renowned works. "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy is the sequel to a much loved book called "The Hobbit" which was Tolkiens first book he ever published, and was origally a story told by him to his children. As soon as the "Lord of the Rings" was published it became a huge success and soon many sequels and continuations evolved. Tolkien and his son created and edited 4 other books which contained the history of Middle Earth and its people, these books were interesting and informative, they described the developement of the 3rd age and the doings of Galadriel and the departure of the grey ships and so forth. Many more editions of J.R.R Tolkiens books were made, most of them contained the map of Middle Earth, and the family tree of the hobbits and of the other characters. The Hobbit

This book is an epic and marvellous work of Tolkiens, the idea came to him whence he was in the trences of New Zealand. The book is about a Hobbit named Bilbo Baggins who begins as a not-so-adventurous identity, then becomes a renowned companiopn of a band of 12 Dwarves and Gandalf the wizard. He struggles with uncouth trolls, toils in the black forest of Mirkwood, escapes the close grasp and whisperings of Gollum in the Misty Mountains, and then finally facing the perilous dragon named Smaug. In this book starts the first glimpse and emergance of the ring of power, in which was found in a hiding of Gollum. This is a fantastic book for all ages and for those who enjoy their Sci Fi books, we recomend you read it.


The Lord of the Rings " The Fellowship of the Ring"

Yet another of Tolkiens works and his most renowned peice of art: The Lord of the Rings, Tis a Unique and complex work full of sophisticated imaginative writing. And one of the most popular books of all time, an artwork of literacy, and skill. The First part of the trilogy begins with The Fellowship of the Ring. The Fellowship tells of how the story and plot developes, and it introduces many live characters such as Gandalf, Frodo, Strider and so on. The characters have individual  personality and minds, but all of them are connected by one thing so small and yet powerful and dangerous; the one ring of Sauron. Originally there were 19 rings of power: the nine for the Mortals race of men, 7 for the Dwarf lords, and 3 for the race of Elves. And yet here was a one Powerful ring full of dark power and malice, the one ring of Sauron the deciever. Sauron, was a evil being thought to be forgotten once the Dark years passed. But emerged again as the dark king of Mount Gundabad. His evil spread to Mirkwood and rested there until the white wizard council drove him out, and soon he was forced to Mordor and there, he grew more powerful. At the beginning, it is the birthday of Biblo Baggins( Frodos Uncle and character from "The Hobbit") Bilbo starts a commotion from disappearing during his birthday feast using his ring. Frodo is left with the one ring and not known its importance until Gandalf the Grey Tells him. Frodo sets off with his ever faithful sidekick Samwise Gamgee son of "the Gaffer" and his friend: Peregrin Took son of Palidin Took. And they are soon persuid by 9

black riders called ring wraiths, formerly the 9 mortal kings who whence came by the gifted rings of Sauron.The Emergance of the company begins at elronds council: Legolas, Aragorn, Gimli, Merry, Pippin, Samwise, Frodo and Gandalf the wizard. In this book It tells of the companies adventures, through the cold of the Misty Mountains, to the Darkness of Moria, to the Wood of Lorien and finally to the Emyn Muil 




The Lord of the Rings "The Two Towers"

This is the second book to the popular "Lord  of the Rings series" it tells of the continuation of the charaters and the breaking of the fellowship, as they all divide, Aragorns true identy unfolds as he ventures furthur into fate, along with his main companions Legolas and Gimli, brought closer friendship in the battle of helms deep. It starts off with the departure of Boromir as his body journeys back through his homeland through the Anduin river. Thus Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli ventured off in search for Merry and Pippin, the two hobbits. Whilist that unfolds Frodo ventures with Samwise his ever faithful servant and gardener, and so journey to Mordor. In this book Frodo encounters the wicked Creature Gollum, and Aragorn and company find war in their path and the finding of a thought-to-be-lost friend and former leader of the fellowship. And more Identities evolve and chracters sprout up whence the company go.


The Lord of the Rings Return of the King

This is the last book in the series of "The Lord of the Rings" here Aragorn emerges into a kingly stature, and leads the people of Gondor to battle, he also unites the peoles of Middle Earth to fight against the dark lord Sauron, Gandalf goes to Minas Tirith to aid and counsel, Frodo and Sam are decieved by Gollum when so close in the black lands. And so Rohan rides to Gondor to help fight the dark forces, Saruon has sent all his dark servants to once and for all destroy the races, and finish off Gondor and sweep the lands in darkness. Saruman tries to take the Shire but is overthrown and later murdered by his servant Grima Wormtongue. And here ends the story of LOTR. However more books of the history and activties of Middle Earth are out there, for those who wish to know more. 


Unfinished Tales

This book is a marvellous monument to J.J.R Tolkiens renowned narative, "The Lord of the Rings" this book is made of a collection of short stories and Mythes concerning Numenor and Middle Earth, some include the story of The children of Hurin(in short form) Gandalf and the Dwarves of the Hobbit, the later doings of Sam Gamgee and Meriadoc and Peregrin. And the history and myths of Numenor. Here are but a few brief review of one of the stories:

The children of Hurin: This story/myth starts off when Hurin of the house of Hador, is in the years of ruling Nargothrond before its downfall. His wife has a son and a daughter on day and they name their son; Turin, after years of peaceful living, Turin learns that his sister is dead, and adding to his mourning, his father Hurin leaves to war on Morgoth in his last assault in which he is captured by Morgoth himself, Turin and his mother are both greived for the 2 losses and are uncertain of their futures in Nargothrond, and when the shadow approaches from Angbad, Turin leaves with a company to Doriath, where dwells king Thingol and his wife Melian in the realm of the Elves. Thence came the emergence of the Easterlings who ravaged Narothrond until its downfall. And so Turin grew in Doriath and became acostum to living among the forest. He made friends with an elf named Beleg, and together they learned of the lores of the eldar and the speech of Doriath, but Turin soon had enemity with another elf, whom was a councilor of the king. One day when Turin went to visit Thingol, he came across the councilor, and there he was provoked by insault of the councilor and so they had a brawl. Soon after when Turin had done murder to the councilor as he was amushed in the woods, he soon fled far away from Dorith and came across a band of outlaws, and so emerged the perils of Turin son of Hurin and his many adventures unfold. And so this a but a portion of the story.
